StreetAdvisor - your street, your voice

Auguststrasse ist einen Lieblingsort, wo ich am meisten Zeit verbringe. Vielleicht ist das so weil ich in die Nahe auch wohne, aber viele die ich im Hackbart's treffe kommen aus verschiedene orte, um sich hier zu treffen.

Auguststrasse is one of my favorite streets in Berlin, and is very much a center of my social life. Maybe that's so because I live in the neighborhood, so whenever I want to hang around at a neighborhood bar, I have many to choose from in the within walking distance. But a lot of people I've met and socialized with at bar classics like Hackbart's, or the KeySersoze come to this street in particular to hang out. I'd say the street's nightlife is a little less hyped-up than Kastanien Allee, and it's thankfully relatively untouched by the tourist ugliness you see on nearby Oranienburger Strasse. Claerchen's Ballhaus, under hip, young new management in the past few years, has become a standard for pizza and ballroom dancing, and for just general butt-shaking among the kids once it gets late into the night and the older folks go to sleep. The Kunst Werke is also on Auguststrasse, and important center for contemporary art, plus a number of galleries and design shops
